Introduction to my research on virus diseases<\/span><\/h2>\n

I was during 9 years (from 1967 until 1976) involved in research on several aspects of plant diseases, caused by plant viruses. My work at the ORSTOM in Ivory Coast (1968 – 1972) concerned the identification and epidemiology of viruses in Passionfruit and Capsicum. My work at Ciba-Geigy in Basel (1973 – 1976) was focussed at the inhibition of the transmission on non-persistent viruses by mineral oils and methods to conserve viruses in the best way.<\/span><\/p>\n
